Tandel was scheduled to attend the 29th Annual NDIA Test and Evaluation conference. This event has been cancelled by NDIA due to travel restrictions. Tandel was planning to have an exhibit booth at this event as well as present two white papers, written by our VP of Engineering, Mr. Kim Vogel.

Seasoned Lockheed Martin Executive Joins Tandel As New VP of Program Management

Oldsmar, Florida, April 16, 2012 – Tandel Systems, Inc. announced today that Mr. Michael Cox has joined the staff in the role of Vice President of Program Management, effective immediately. Mr. Cox will provide program leadership in support of Tandel Systems growth at all sites.

“Mr. Cox brings a significant level of experience to our organization at just the right time. As we expand the scope and complexity of the programs we are performing for customers, including the contribution of our Tandel Systems Consortium members, Mike’s experience with large geographically dispersed teams, complex systems, especially his advocacy of lean and agile enterprises, help ensure that we retain our reputation for performance while successfully managing cost, schedule, and risk on our large programs” says Tandel CEO, Mike Varga.

Prior to joining Tandel, Mr. Cox held various positions within Lockheed Martin Corporation. Most recently, he was the director of corporate program performance. In these positions, Mr. Cox managed 7000+ control account managers and deployed a corporate wide training course to drive improved program performance and government compliance. Mr. Cox was also the director of operations and a Lean Black Belt Subject Matter Expert engineer. Mr. Cox also consulted with the U.S. Navy to cut software development time from 40 months to 18 months.

Mr. Cox is “very excited to join the Tandel Systems team and to contribute to the performance and technical excellence for which Tandel is known.”

Michael is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering. He specializes in Change Management, Lean Implementation, Team Building, Hardware and Software Test, Strategic Planning, Process Re-engineering, Program Management, Consensus Building, and Problem Solving in the aerospace industry.
